9/11 Lesson

On Wednesday, 9/11/19, the students will experience the events of September 11, 2001, in real-time.  We will cover the events of the day, as they happened, and discuss how these events have shaped our country, and how the aftermath of that day continues to affect our everyday life.

I am basing the lesson after the song "Where In the World Were You When the World Stopped Turning" by Alan Jackson. I need your help to make this lesson complete!  Please provide a handwritten account of your experience of that day. Please send in your written testimony in a sealed envelope addressed to me (Mrs. Murphy) Please DO NOT share this with your child prior to the lesson. This will be a surprise for them, and something they will be able to keep and one day pass along to their child.

This can be an emotional day. I ask that you only share news of this lesson with your child ONLY if you feel they would have problems processing the day.  Otherwise, the lesson has a stronger effect if the student comes in unaware of the lesson activities.
