We had an AMAZING boat trip out on North Shore! Saw TONS of whale activity...it was so awesome!

I booked a half price deal on the North Shore Catamaran...so me, Christine and Connor went...when we saw the boat...we were NOT excited at all. Will post pics later. And it really was not a kid friendly boat from a safety perspective. Connor was having fun but was making everyone nervous...so we had to force him to sit still which is difficult. Bean was feeling sick, and then I started feeling sick only about 45 minutes into our 2 hour sunset cruise...and then it happened...WHALES! The excitement of the whales helped to distract us from feeling bad...and the rest of the cruise was full of whales...we were surrounded! It was so cool. My sister was initially very hostile and negative telling me maybe we shouldn't book half priced boat trips...but she took back her words after the whale action...she had to admit that this was by far her best whaling adventure!!! And then we ate Thai food at Opal's...so it was a fun night!

Connor was home sick from school...so we figured, why not get him measured for his tux? The workers at the store were funny...they were hoping for the kids to pass on sickness to them so they didn't have to be at work ; )

He was really good about the whole thing...and the most exciting part for him was the little "ped" stocking for him to try on shoes...he asked if he could keep it and he put it on his hand to pretending his hand was webbed!

We are a mess!

All of us are coughing except for Scott. Today we went to the doctor and Amelia is on her first ever prescription of Amoxicillin. I was really surprised that she took the first dose with little argument. So that is exciting because she really doesn't like taking any meds! Which is why when they decided to get rid of the infant Tylenol and infant Motrin...they were not thinking! So once we can no longer get the infant kind...then she'll have to take 5ml of regular children's which is stressing me out just thinking of it! Ok...so that's another story. So hopefully she won't fight me for the next 10 days of the Amoxicillin!

And Connor got some inhalers, Ventolin and Flovent. It's been a while since he's had a cough like this...but our pediatrician decided not to even mess around and since we know this works with Connor usually...he gave us a new prescription.

It may be my turn to go to the doctor since I am having coughing fits and I so tired of it. Amelia was up a little while ago because she was having a coughing fit, and while I was trying to rock her, I proceeded to have a full on coughing attack with tears and everything. I had to put her down. She was talking to me as if to say, "I understand Mommy! I have the same thing!" And she didn't fuss...just put on her music, started playing and put herself back to sleep. Such a good girl! Hopefully this coughing craziness will ease up and we don't get Auntie Bean sick when she arrives tomorrow!

Finishing our first chapter book...Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!

We are sure going to miss Dr. Britos...he's been the best pediatrician ever. And in the military health care system...that is a big deal! He's been Connor's doctor for the full 3 years that we've been here...so it will be tough leaving a doctor that knows the kids so well : (

Connor was first...and Amelia sat in the chair just watching in awe as Dr. Britos did his thing. When it was her turn, Dr. Britos decided that maybe she'd feel more comfortable sitting with Connor! And you know what? She didn't fight as much as she usually does!

Both kids are really good at the doctor's office...we've been very lucky. The one area Amelia really hates to cooperate with is her mouth! She squeezes her lips tight as possible...she's really good at blocking with her hands too! But today, I think Dr. Britos got the best look inside that he ever has...even though she initally shut her mouth tight...she was a little more relaxed with Connor holding her! And maybe because she had just watched him go through the same thing too!

Daddy was making him laugh because one thing Connor does not like to do is take pictures!!!

I can't remember if Amelia took this medal from Connor or if he shared it with her...but then he was helping try to pose her for a picture, so he was good with it!
