Amelia is setting up for Hannukah...let me explain!

The kids watch an Elmo Holiday movie...and it talks about all of the holidays including Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Three Kings Day...I think that's it.  It's a really cute movie and we all love it.  Amelia especially loves the Hannukah part and sings the dreidel song and talks about lighting the candles : )  So today, she was setting up the table for Hannukah and and wanted to light a candle! 

She sure loves a good hat! She is calling herself Mr. Noodle because on the Elmo Chridtmas show, Mr. Noodle wears a Santa hat!

Raingutter Regatta...Scott and Connor worked hard on this boat (well Scott did and Connor approved!)

Connor's boat didn't win but he held it together and didn't get too mad!

We had a few discussions about how to react if his boat didn't win.  Scott said he did pretty good and didn't have a fit but of course he wasn't happy...which is fine and normal.  As long as there's not a huge outburst, that makes me happy.  And since it was their first one, they will know next year how to modify their boat to have a better chance of winning.  Scott said the top 3 winners had all modified their boats into catamarans...and I guess they got more speed that way.  Good to know!
