First official cookie booth of the season!

100th day of school ...we had to come up with an Idea to count to 100 creatively. Amelia made a necklace with pasta...each section is grouped by 10 adding up to 100. It looks like a Hawaiian lei! We made it green and gold ribbon for the school colors!

From yesterday...high heels with her nightgown!

Amelia did a few sales in our neighborhood. We don't have a wagon, and she said the basket was heavy!!! But she managed ok. In our council here, we have to order cookies in advance and sell from our own inventory. Not the old school way of taking orders first. Very tricky. Amelia sold 112 boxes (more than half were friends and neighbors of Granny & Clyde!) Now we know for next year, tentative pre-orders are really helpful in planning what types of cookies to order and how many. Booth sales start next weekend!

At the circus with our entire school PreK - 8th grade!

Mrs. McGill, pictured in the middle during her retirement party from Holy Family in May...her funeral Mass was yesterday and I am with all of her now 7th grade students today on a bus to the circus! The 7th graders are buddies with our PreK class. She was so funny because when I told her that I wanted to work in PreK, she said the little ones scared her! And I told her that the big ones scared me, I know she is smiling down on us today!
