This is just from a few hours at the Grand Canyon! Just imagine if I got my wish of staying overnight inside the park!

I might have taken a few pictures : )

Williams, Arizona to the Grand Canyon via the Grand Canyon Railway! We stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway hotel in Williams...Scott stayed at the hotel with Amelia to get her some much needed rest since she's sick...and Connor and I pressed onto the day trip on the train to Grand Canyon Village...it was fun filled with a Wild West Show and even a train robbery on board!

After the 2 hour train ride...we got off at Grand Canyon Village and then onto a bus...it was a long day but really fun...it would have been too much for Amelia with her not feeling well...but she would have loved it and Scott too...we were sad that they couldn't go with us.   This is Connor's first view of the Grand Canyon and he was impressed!

The bus tour took us to 3 different view points which was great...because we wouldn't have had time to find it on our own!

Hoover Dam: Quick detour for a few pics...Connor was asleep and Amelia was not...she has chosen to boycott sleeping in the car. Not sure if it's because she's sick or if it's because she thinks she'll miss out on some fun!

Las Vegas: We were going to bypass Vegas and drive straight to Grand Canyon from San Diego...but then we decided it was too long of a drive for our first day on the road. So we made it to Vegas and Amelia's cough was getting worse...so I took her to a pediatric urgent care not too far away while Scott and Connor enjoyed New York New York...

After I came back from urgent care with Amelia...she was exhausted and went straight to bed.  I asked Connor if he wanted to stay up late and walk down to see the Bellagio fountains and then the volcano at the Mirage...he said no thanks!  I told him he could stay up till midnight and he refused.  Really?  So I decided that since it was the only time I'd probably ever be in Vegas...that I should walk around!   And it did for 2 hours...my feet were killing me!

For my sister...the scary looking Mickey Mouse...when we made Connor a birthday cake in Spain...it looked like this Mickey Mouse!  We thought it was a really ugly Mickey cake...but Connor recognized it as Mickey Mouse so it was good enough for a 3 year old I guess!

View from our suite at the Vdara...it was a really nice place but I was really disappointed that we didn't get a lake view of the Bellagio...so to compensate, they gave us a $25 room credit which we used for breakfast room service for the kids...

Bacon and pancakes all for the bargain price of $25...at least it was free : )

We know that Amelia isn't feeling well when she doesn't eat pancakes!  She barely ate a thing...poor baby!

The mini ketchup, salt and pepper and other condiments were a big hit with Connor (I love them too!)

So after a morning of running around trying to collect Amelia's prescriptions (one was a nebulizer and required a visit to a medical supply store!)...we decided to have lunch at Mandalay Bay and go to the Shark Reef...the kids loved it!

Connor sure loves his sister...I really enjoy when he puts his arm around her and helps her!

The touch tank...I thought Amelia was going to dive in which is why there aren't any more pictures!  Scott didn't go with us...he went to repack the car and get it set so we could hit the road as soon as we finished...

ewww...octopus!
